The town on the left is Husavik. Both the harbor that
is responsible for the town and the high peak to the right are
manifestations of the Husavik fault. The Husavik fault is a normal
fault within a transform fault zone accomodating a west-step in
the mid-ocean ridge system north of Iceland. The Husavik fault
may have as much as 1400 m of vertical displacement on it!
